A meno di un mese di distanza dalla fine del 2015, DJ Earworm ha pubblicato il suo annuale United State of Pop, un mega mash-up di cinque minuti che contiene 50 delle hit più importanti dell’anno, un’ode senza sosta delle canzoni che hanno dominato le radio negli scorsi 12 mesi. Il mix di quest’anno, prodotto da Billboard, include tutto, da Hello di Adele a Hotline Bling di Drake, da Bitch Better Have My Money di Rihanna a Bad Blood di Taylor Swift. United State of Pop è accompagnato da un video montato con tutti i momenti memorabili dai video dei vari pezzi inseriti, come il balletto di Drake o la lotta contro il vento di Adele.
Sottotitolato 50 Shades of Pop, il mix di quest’anno si basa soprattutto su Can’t Feel My Face di The Weeknd nella prima parte, mentre la seconda metà è una base che prende diversi elementi dai pezzi di Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Fall Out Boy e One Direction.
