I National hanno annunciato il loro prossimo album, Sleep Well Beast, seguito di Trouble Will Find Me, uscito per 4AD nel 2013. Il settimo disco della band – che il frontman Matt Beninger ha definito “molto oscuro” – uscirà l’8 settembre.
La band ha pubblicato anche un nuovo singolo, The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness. Il brano, accompagnato da un video surreale, presenta delle sonorità più oscure e un arrangiamento minimal. Ecco la tracklist completa e la cover dell’album:
