È arrivato il momento degli Emmy Awards 2025 (qui la lista delle nomination) e le star si sono presentate in massa per celebrare il meglio della televisione nella cerimonia condotta da Nate Bargatze.
Seth Rogen ha portato a casa quattro Emmy per The Studio, tra cui quello per la migliore serie comedy e il miglior attore. Ha vinto anche per la regia con Evan Goldberg e ha condiviso il premio per la sceneggiatura con lo stesso Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory e Frida Perez. Aggiungendo le nove vittorie ai Creative Arts Emmy della settimana precedente arriviamo a un totale di 13 statuette, diventando la serie più premiata dell’anno.
Adolescence invece si è aggiudicata sei premi, tra cui quello per la miglior miniserie. Owen Cooper è diventato il più giovane vincitore maschile di sempre in una categoria di recitazione. E poi Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty e il regista Philip Barantini, oltre a Graham stesso che si è aggiudicato un terzo Emmy insieme a Jack Thorne per la sceneggiatura.
The Pitt, la rivelazione della stagione, si è aggiudicata tre Emmy, tra cui quello per la migliore serie drammatica. La star Noah Wyle ha vinto il premio come miglior attore in una serie drammatica. A sorpresa, Katherine LaNasa ha portato a casa il premio come migliore attrice non protagonista in una serie drammatica, battendo un gruppo che includeva quattro star di The White Lotus.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ha vinto il premio come miglior talk show, due mesi dopo l’annuncio della cancellazione della serie da parte della CBS. Colbert e il suo staff hanno ricevuto una standing ovation, con molti spettatori che hanno intonato “Stephen! Stephen!” quando sono saliti sul palco.
